The US Surgeon General released the first report on smoking cessation in decades. OTRU research was highly cited in the document with over a dozen studies referenced.

E-Cigarettes—Initiation
The CDC confirms that all e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury (EVALI) cases were associated with vitamin E acetate and use of cannabis vaping products rather than nicotine alone. They differentiate between the vaping epidemic and the EVALI epidemic.

Prabhat Jha and colleagues discuss the impact of lower cigarette prices on deaths in France and Canada and determine that tens of thousands of deaths will be attributed to the combination of smuggling and the lowering of taxes due to the threat of smuggling.
