E-Cigarettes—Initiation
Martha Pienkowski and colleagues at OTRU used data from the first wave of the Vaping Dependence Cohort to examine measures of nicotine dependence and addiction among youth and young adults. Seventy-five percent of current vapers reported being somewhat or very addicted, contrary to earlier reports finding low levels of addiction among youth.

The Government of New Zealand published an action plan for a cigarette endgame—creating a tobacco-free generation by raising the minimum age each year, removing nicotine from cigarettes, and reducing tobacco availability.
