E-cigarettes—Addiction
Martha Pienkowski, OTRU practicum student, led this study examining the pathways of dependence to vaping. She found that most milestones for vaping dependence emerged approximately 2 years after the initiation of vaping. Those who were cigarette smokers attained the milestones of weekly and daily vaping faster than those who were not, while non-smokers attained the other milestones (such as cravings and waking at night to vape) faster.
