This Build Smoke-Free project infographic provides evaluation highlights from the first year (2019-20) of Build Smoke-Free (BSF). BSF is a tailored cessation program that connects people working in construction who are ready to quit smoking with free resources and information to increase their chances of quitting successfully. The program also builds social and physical environments on construction sites that support tobacco cessation. BSF was developed by the Canadian Cancer Society in partnership with EllisDon, Ottawa Public Health and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, with support from the Public Health Agency of Canada and Johnson & Johnson Inc.. As the research and evaluation partner, OTRU will continue to evaluate the roll out of BSF in Ontario, Alberta and other provinces over the next few years.
