The Smoke-Free Ontario-Scientific Advisory Committee (SFO-SAC) report, Evidence to Guide Action: Comprehensive Tobacco Control in Ontario, outlines exciting new evidence-informed approaches to moving tobacco control to the next critical stage. Included are innovative strategies to protect nonsmokers from exposure to tobacco products, prevent the uptake of smoking, support cessation, reduce inequities in tobacco control and confront the disease vector by minimizing the ability of the tobacco industry to market, promote and sell tobacco products. It specifies 55 recommendations for the renewal of Ontario’s tobacco control strategy.
