In 2016/2017, OTRU, in collaboration with key stakeholders, assessed the implementation and impact of new tobacco and e-cigarette policy measures being implemented in Ontario. This report provides an overview of key findings, focusing on implementation of the e-cigarette minimum age of sale and supply stipulation that came into effect on January 1, 2016. The report provides an overview of:
- Compliance with and enforcement of the youth access stipulation
- Facilitators and challenges to implementation
- Perceived impacts
- Any unintended consequences or emerging issues resulting from the new policy measure
