This report presents the findings of a survey on tobacco control activities in Canada’s public health units and health authorities. The report explores successful tobacco control practices, programs and policies relating to prevention, cessation, protection and enforcement at the regional/local level across Canada. A second focus is learning about gaps and challenges in these practices, programs and policies. The survey was conducted under the aegis of the Canadian Public Health Association project The Next Stage: Delivering Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Knowledge through Public Health Networks.
