OTRU
A collaboration between OTRU and Health Canada examined tobacco industry wholesale data to assess the impact of flavor regulations in Canada from 2009/2010. These regulations primarily affected flavours in small cigars and cigarillos. This analysis showed that the regulations were associated with changing the trend of sales of cigars although there were a number of industry adaptations that limited the effectiveness of the law, particularly relabeling of cigar products.
