Hot Topics
E-cigarettes were hot topics in the literature again this month with the US Food and Drug Administration announcing changes in the enforcement of e-cigarettes. An editorial in the New England Journal of Public Health highlighted the concerns of youth use, particularly JUUL brand and other “pod mods”. The CDC found that e-cigarettes were again the most commonly used tobacco product among middle school and high school students. Trivers et al. found that e-cigarettes were being widely used by US youth to smoke cannabis.
